If we as a society require some, to deny their identity, existence, culture, presence, talent and dignity for another human who demands perfection (but yet do not possess such state themselves) before they can respect an individual then such society do not deserve to benefit or enjoy the individuals talent, respect or their citizenship.

Until an addict acknowledges it has a problem… in this case endemic class and systematic racism, the issue cannot and will never be resolved. No matter how hard the addict tries to skirt around the matter, undermine and make light of the issue, veil the despicable act, or boldly display their ignorance by suggesting such matter is political, as suppose to seeing it for what it is … Racism and how it destroys lives and impacts all of society in negative manner.

For some, at times like these it is more convenient to blurt out the fickle statement ‘things are changing and it takes time’ to those individuals, how long do you and your predecessors need, 10 years, 20, 50, 100, 200, and is it reasonable to ask those at the receiving end to continue to wait without consistent substantial action with a plausible end in sight?

In the grand scale of things and lack of authoritative action, taking a knee for a few minutes seems a small gesture to remind all of us that once again Doing Nothing regardless of the institution or gathering be that at work, sport, schools, events, technology and media industry... racism impacts all our lives.
